Skillnet Edinburgh provides training courses for clients from minority ethnic communities that will help develop knowledge and skills.

 

Accredited Training

Gain qualifications in English and IT on the Black Community Skills Project.

 

Delivered in partnership with CORE, and supported by Jewel and Esk College, a 10 week course leading to recognised qualifications in English and IT.

 

A key feature of the course is the integrated Employability sessions, which will help you focus on your job search, prepare your CV, identify suitable employers, and help you gain employment.

 

For those more interested in moving onto College, University, or other training courses, we include visits to local colleges.

 

Other Training

We deliver other training focusing on ESOL, IT or personal development.

 

These courses can act as a springboard to formal accredited training, or as stand-alone training that helps develop specific areas and skills.

We deliver a range of half and full day workshops focusing on specific areas of employability.

 

These have included on-line application processes, psychometric testing, time management and CV development.
